From the early phases, Arshdeep has played in the Katoch Shield tournament. He has been part of the Indian under-19 team which won the 2018 Under-19 cricket World Cup and went to play for the under-23 national side.
During the CK Nayudu Trophy in 2018, he was a member of Punjab’s under-23 cricket team. He claimed eight wickets, including a hat-trick, in Rajasthan’s second innings and ended with a total of 10 wickets in the match while playing against Rajasthan under-23s. Arshdeep then debuted in List A for Punjab in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 19 September 2018 and in January 2019 made his first-class debut against Vidarbha in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy.
In November 2019, Arshdeep Singh was chosen to play for India in the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh. Additionally, he was selected as one of five net bowlers for the June 2021 Indian trip to Sri Lanka. He was added to India’s senior squad for the tour’s last two Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) because of a positive COVID-19 case in the Indian team.
